Originally BSix Sixth Form College purchased ccDevnet’s Data Access Server (a proprietary software development component) online to help them carry out a number of planned IT projects. Later, they requested ccDevnet’s direct involvement on the projects to ensure all were delivered within very tight deadlines.
All of the IT projects were independently scoped by the client’s in-house business analysts. The resulting work was then passed to a ccDevnet Product Owner who produced complete design documents and managed the development using ccDevnet onshore and offshore resources.
The software development projects included
- A universal database to allow for the integration of seven separate systems including security, canteen, accounts and student management.
- A universal composite dashboard and analytical engine.
- A student checker. This is a mobile app that allows college security to scan students in common areas to instantly check if they should be in class or elsewhere.
- A unique student attendance register that is far more efficiently than the one provided by the incumbent student management system.
